3. If you want a truly unique and valuable collection, you can focus on strictly rare coins. These types can include coins from ancient societies or coins that were only printed for a very short time. While this type of collection will require a bigger investment, they will also be most interesting, unique and valuable.
When you are looking for a hobby that will keep you interested and keep you looking for new additions, collecting coins can be the right hobby for you. Remember that any hobby requires an investment, so be prepared to put much into the collection.
Whether you choose to collect a certain type of coin, only rare coins, foreign coins, or choices of historic significance, you will soon be always on the lookout for your collection choices. Remember too that there are many other people collecting coins too, so you will find yourself as a part of a big club, attending fun and exciting coin shows, subscribing to collecting catalogs and scouring the Internet for rare and new finds.
